Favorite Necklace I have made

I hadn't posted jewelry in a while so here is my all time favorite necklace I have ever made. It is sterling silver and wicked cool!
Our move to the house is complete, we turned in the keys to the apartment. I have pictures to post of many things but the cord that connects the camera to the computer is in a box. I'll work on unpacking it tomorrow.
Hope all is well in your world!

Sunday's work.

Here is Joe hard at work etching the paint off of the bird cage so we can repaint it black.

We decided the 2nd largest bedroom, (the green room) would be ours. We got our bed set up with a trip to the home depot. I needed bolts and something to extend the support legs. We got a lot done yesterday. But I must go on and do more!

Last night baseball game!

We went to a baseball game last night, we figured we should go to one more while we could still walk to it.

Here I am pretty in pink with my cotton candy.

Turns out we hit the jackpot, this game had the largest fireworks show of the year! I love fireworks!

painting the office

This is the last room on the main floor to be painted. This is my first coat of purple, and I need to do one more. (Obviously I did fill in the rest of the wall, that was just me goofing off)
I love the wall paper being gone, it's just wonderful!

Yesterdays Progress

Here is the wall with all the patches, now they are white and dried.
This room (same as picture above) is the office that was covered in old wall paper, it looks so good primed.
There is even a chandelier in the office.

Another view.
I also bought and built a lawn mower. An eco friendly lawn mower.

Here it is!

And I cut the front yard! All with my own horse power!

Under the wall paper...

so we peeled back the ugly wall paper and what did we find, giant holes in the dry wall! (Pepsi is there to show size)
I got these metal/fabric sticky patches for covering holes.
You then cover it with pink goup (it turns white when dry)
The majority of my patches, not sure what they did to this wall, we'll leave that in the past.
By the way, I hate wall paper! Ahhhhhhhhhh! It's pure evil!

Working on the house!

Old faucet that leaked 5 gallons a night (thus the bucket) and squirted out the side. Also it's gold and everything else is stainless!

New beautiful faucet that I picked out and helped install!
Joe's family has been helping out a lot. Bringing tools, scraping wall paper and more! Thank you!

My parents came up for a couple of days, they brought more of my studio (Yeah!), my Mom brought plants and Dad and I worked on electrical, a closet rod, rehanging a door and we also changed the faucet in the kitchen. I helped a lot, so I didn't just watch. We even had to drill a new hole in the stainless steel for a sprayer! I was impressed that my Dad and I could do this.
My Mom brought deer resistant plants (I have seen 7 deer at one time in the yard) and we worked mainly on the front flower beds that consisted of chewed off hosta and weeds. I'll post pictures later!

Oh no, not Ebay!

When i get home from working on the house (see below) I've started looking at gemstones on ebay, I think I need to stop doing that. One thing is it's not the way to get the best price on stones and two I really don't know how to set these stones. I did want to post one more stone I bid on, I don't know if I won yet, it is a 31.45ct Trillaint Purple & Golden Ametrine. I loved the way it was cut and how you could see so many colors. It's a lively stone.
Be warned though, ebay is addictive, especially when you have breathed paint fumes all day and your brain has turned to mush!

Boulder Opal

I wanted to share with you what I bought (not won) on ebay. It is a 5.29 ct Yowah Boulder Opal. I just couldn't pass it up, it's so beautiful. Now I need to design something around it. Once the house is painted, and all our things are moved.... (to be continued)

Shopping for the house...

Yesterday we found the bed frame we wanted for our new bed. We went to the Arhaus outlet where they discount everything. We paid less than half on this black iron bed. I think it's great!
I'll show you pictures of our real bed once I've painted that room and gotten the bed set up.

Another visit with my baby bird

A few days ago I got to visit my baby Hahns Macaw who I will take home in September. This week I'm supposed to find out if it is a boy or a girl. The bird breeder said that the bird with double in size in the next 18 months. He's still learning to balance with his toes on sticks and metal bars. And he hasn't really developed a personality yet, though he does have several little friends. I gave him lots of kisses and talked non stop. I can't wait to teach him words!

House photos

I wanted to share some house photos with you, to show you the before. We took these pictures right before we put an offer on the house, so everything in it is not ours.

This is the front yard, there are two front doors and a crab apple tree. To the left out of view there is a basketball hoop.

This is the family room. So far I have painted another coat of the yellow, there where nail holes to fill and scratches/smears that needed to be painted over. Notice in the right hand corner there is a wood burnign stove! Even cooler the neighboors, literally next store sell fire wood! How convient. Gotta say, love the neighbors I've met, very friendly. They rented a stump grider for the weekend and took their time to grind a stump for me as a house warming present! I love them! I will make them a pie.

Here is one view of the kitchen, I also painted one coat on the walls in here to cover the nail holes and smears. I have a great photo I took in Europe of a fruit/vege stand I want to hang on that wall over the kitchen table.

These stairs lead out to a patio in the back yard. I love them and the moss growing on them.

This is the office, to the right are stairs down to the basement and further right you can see on step that goes into the kitchen. Yesterday my mother in law and sister in law came and helped me take most of the wall paper down in this room. It was a really big help! Thanks!
To the left is the garage.

Here is the first floor bathroom. It's staying this color and it looks pretty good.

Smallest of the three bedrooms, so far I've removed over 300 glow in the dark stars off of the ceiling. You know those sticky tabs that are supposed to come off of the wall when you're done with them? Bull, I had to scrape so hard to get them off and then paint the ceiling twice. Never stick things to your walls like that. It's easy to paint over a color but scraping things off a ceiling is not fun.

Oh the pink room. I've painted the (purple) ceiling three times to make it white, primed the walls and closet. (the closet was also pink, walls, shelves, and ceiling) This is the second biggest room and will probably be our bedroom. I like the view out the windows better than the biggest room and the closet is nicer.

This is the largest bedroom, I've painted the ceiling, primed the walls and painted the closet. Yesterday a window was repaired, it had moister in it.
This is the 'man cave' side of the basement. It has a nice view outback. I need to put in a ceiling. To the right is a fire place, yeah!

Also we're going to paint over the man cave walls and make them blue. I promised Joe I'd build him a bar. The bar on the right isn't there but there is a hook up for water.

This other side of the basement is where my studio will go. It's going to be a light yellow. I need to reserarch ventillation stat!

A view of the house from the back yard.
I've worked hard this week, getting rid of about 15 gargbage bags of trash, painting, cleaning, we had a washer and dryer delivered, our king size bed delivered. Every time I go to the house i take a load of stuff from the apartment. Joe's Dad has helped us haul bigger things from the apartment. Thanks!
I'll take pictures this week so you can see what's changed!

Balloon Glow

Yesterday Joe and I went to Canton Ohio to see the Balloon Glow that the Football Hall of Fame put on. We didn't even have to go anywhere. We stood in Joe's parent's yard ad the balloons went overhead. I don't know where they were landing but it was wild!
