Call For Entry: Jewelry & Objects 2011 Exhibition, Due March 1st



A competitive exhibition promoting excellence in the field of metalsmithing sponsored by the Michigan Silversmiths Guild (MSG) In Collaboration with the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art of the Midland Center for the Arts (MCFTA). Marilyn Da Silva will be the juror.
Marilyn da Silva’s work is based on telling stories through imagery and representational elements. Her trademark surface treatment of gesso and colored pencil creates a rich palette for her sculpture and wearable pieces. (a piece of hers above, The Trouble with Magic)

All works must be original, completed within the last 3 years and not previously exhibited in this exhibit. Work produced in a school curriculum is eligible. Entrants must be current members of MSG. Artists may submit up to 3 entries for $35. New or renewing members may include membership form and payment with entry. Membership forms can be found as a PDF of the MSG website. Please indicate a permanent address for return of your work.
