American Jewelry Design Council Variations on a Theme

Several weekends ago I attended the American Jewelry Design Council Variations on a Theme: 25 Years of Design exhibit at the Kent State University Museum. Hammer Time!

This past week I worked on a couple of my hammers, see the sparks above!
The hammer below is shined to a near mirror finish, you can see my reflection and the reflection of the wood grain in the table. It's beautiful, and ready for jewelry making.

The hammer below is textured, I used a cut off disk and carved into an old hammer. It was fairly simple and now we can play with an interesting texture. I'll be sure to post more!

Special Order Spica Star Earrings

Wednesday I delivered this special order pair of earrings to Flux Metal Arts, a gallery I sell my jewelry through. These are a version sterling silver of my Spica Star Earrings.

I love the blackened background and how it makes the silver star really shine!

Happy St. Patty's Day

It's been a while. Hope you are well and I wanted to share my good fortune with you.

Here is my best creation yet! My daughter Willow at 3 months old ready to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day! (Her outfit says, 'I'm cute, my Mom is cute, and my Dad is Lucky!')
Right now Willow is a little over 3 1/2 months and she is so much fun, she's been smiling a lot and talking and babbling up a storm!
